"Entartete Musik" als Protest gegen die NS Vergangenheit: zur Situation der musikalischen Identität nach 1945.
Gottfried H.Wagner was born in 1947 in Bayreuth, studied musicology, philosophy and German philology in Germany and Austria and made his PHD on Kurt Weill and Bertold Brecht at the University of Vienna. He works internationally as a multimedia director, musicologist and writer and is member of the Pen Club Liechtenstein. He received different awards for his artistic and academic activities as well as for his humanitarian involvements. In 1992, he co-founded with Dr.Abraham Peck the "Postholocaust Dialogue Group". His autobiography "The Twilight of the Wagners" is published in 6 languages ( St. Martin's Press and Picador May 1999). Since 1983 he has been living in Italy.
