Family patterns and identity problems of children of Holocaust survivors - a psychological comparison between experiences in Austria and Chile.
Miriam Markstein was born in 1964 and studied Tourism, English, Spanish and Psychology in Vienna. She has travelled extensively. She has worked professionally in conference planning and social work. Her dissertation was a qualititative study about Holocaust survivors and the effects of trauma on them, and on the second and third generations. For her study, she looked at family dynamics and problems of identity using Austrian emigrants to Chile, as her subject base.
