Edna Brocke
13:30 Workshop 3 September 1999
The Present - Interface between Past and Future
The workshop presents two projects of the memorial site "Alte Synagoge" in Essen. "Lehrhaus für Kinder" teaches about Jewishness as religious and national identity and works with the question why and how the building came to be used in the present way. Older students and adults have the opportunity to trace the biography of a murdered person. These summaries become part of the exhibition.
